Cocktail Engagement Rings

Originating in the 1920’s, cocktail rings were a sign of prominence and glamour.  Today, their ornate settings continue to marry vintage style with old fashioned romance. Cocktail rings (or art deco rings for some) are made of  precious metals, and they are adorned with diamonds and other glamorous gems.  Creating a signature piece means that these rings will  symbolize your personal taste and memories for years. They can also be worn to formal events, or make beautiful anniversary gifts.

Engagement rings symbolize eternity; a perfect circle with no break, beginning, nor end.  They are symbols of never-ending love and the promises two people make to each other.  It is important to consider this and to select a ring that suits your style and personality best.

Here are some dresses I absolutely adore from Oscar De La Renta‘s Spring 2011 Bridal Couture Collection.  Bows seem to be part of the trend again next season.  Enjoy ladies!

Playful Wedding Shoes

One of the funnest parts of planning your wedding is shopping for your wedding attire!   A great way to incorporate vibrant colours and personality to your attire is through your selection of shoes and accesories.  A great idea is for the bride to match the colour of her shoes to her bridesmaids dresses or wedding theme.   Personally, I adore bold coloured shoes as they make a strong statement about your style and personality, as well as create a beautiful contrast to the traditionally white or off-white wedding gowns.  The best part about selecting a colourful pair of bridal shoes is that you’ll get to wear them again and again.

Discovering Spa Curage

I was very fortunate to have met Hayley Sheely, manager of Spa Curage · Coiffure.  To say that I was blown away is an understatement!  Hayley graciously gave me the tour of the magnificent spa and explained all about its products and services.

The very first thing I noticed about Spa Curage was the décor, ambience and European feel.  Just being there made me feel like a million bucks!  Hayley showed me all the beautiful rooms and explained how their treatments worked and about the techniques and technologies they use.  Being by far one of the most technologically advanced spas I’ve ever visited, Spa Curage even offers skin evaluations and free Digital Skin Analysis with your first facial appointment; your treatment is customized to your own skin’s needs!

Spa Curage is a one-stop for literally all your beauty needs.  To mention a few of their services, they offer His & Her Hair Transformations, Skin Evaluations, Facial and Body Treatments, Massages (personally I died when I saw the rain massage room!), hand and foot care, Hair Removal and Make-up.  A new addition to Spa Curage’s make-up department is Sylva Kalaidjian from Sylva K, who I also had the pleasure of finally meeting!  They also carry a full line of Nelly De Vuyst skin care products.

Another great service that sets Spa Curage apart from other spas is their medical aesthetic clinic – Curage Med.  Their on-site doctors offer services such as Medical Aesthetics, Facial Rejuvenation Treatments, Indictable Fillers, Varicose Vein Treatments, and a VIP Medical Clinic.

I am so excited to book my appointment before leaving for Europe!  I’ve been meaning to re-style my hair and would love some pampering to start my vacation on the right foot.  Many thanks to Hayley once again for the grand tour and for all her helpful information.  PS Events Spa Curage.

Mimosas & Samosas

What a lovely way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon! Chateau Vaudreuil opened its doors to all brides-to-be today to showcase their magnificent venue and preferred vendors.  As soon as each guest entered they  received a bag with a complementary Elegant Wedding Magazine and were offered cocktails and refreshments.

There was so much to see and admire!  I had the pleasure of meeting certified Sandals specialists from Uniglobe; Maggie, Mary, and Georgia.  Frankly, I can sip on Mimosas and chat with these ladies about travel and Sandal resorts all day.  I also fell in love with the centre pieces created by Terrafolia Fleurs; I can’t wait to meet with Donna to see more, she was great!  Last but not least, Luxe Rentals really had beautiful modern table settings displayed.

The girls and I had such an amazing time today!  I came home feeling pampered since we were served cocktails and refreshments every few minutes.  We enjoyed the weather on the terrace by the water with our cocktails and snacked on sushi and Samosas. There was a tantalizing dessert table as well provided by Patisserie San Marco; I think it’s safe to say that we left on a sugar rush since we had to try one of everything!
